Project Description

The contract Social Media Manager is responsible for creating social media strategy, implementing a successful campaign to help increase programming awareness, and writing posts based on knowledge of current marketing trends that integrate with the overall  PR strategy.

You will be responsible for developing content and acting as the community manager of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat accounts and other social media channels you see fit. 

Responsibilities include:

Develop, document and execute a marketing and social media strategy including best practices to be discussed and approved by Brand Marketing Chair with input from Programming leadership. 

Schedule posts according to page statistics on highest traffic periods. 

Develop content suited to each channel’s environment in style of overall brand using multiple hashtags, when content is appropriate. 

Post photos with captions across channels. 

Monitor social media channels and respond to community, in a timely manner. 

Conduct free Google AdWords search campaign using nonprofit account. 

Proof copy on all creative deliverables and review monthly e-newsletter copy drafted by Brand Marketing Chair. 

Upload Facebook ad graphics supplied by Graphics Coordinator and regularly monitor analytics and track performance with ultimate goal of growing programming audiences. 

Provide input on printed event promotional materials distribution plans. 

Prepare written, monthly social media reports (1-2 paragraphs) that outline successes, issues, and metrics or present in person at assigned staff meetings. 

Participate in Fair team survey and debrief meeting. 

Prepare written report to Board of Directors within 2 weeks of debrief meeting. Report should include: 

Assessment of whether stated goals and execution were aligned. 

Assessment of which paid FB Ads/boosted posts were most effective. 

Recommendations on how the company can maintain and engage audience throughout year. 

Recommendations on future social media and strategy changes. 

Requirements:

2 years of Social Media Management 

Excellent writing skills 

A creative mindset that shows through your work 

Passion for helping fuel and sustain the arts 

Deadline-driven and detail-oriented attitude 

Excel, Word, Google Drive, and Social Media management platforms skills a must 

Mailchimp and Asana familiarity a plus 

Team-player with a good sense of humor and positive attitude are major assets
